Bio

I am a painter and a hospice worker. Before hospice, I spent a decade working in art departments for film & television, as well as theatre production at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. My paintings document, and put equal weight on, all moments of life – from the unremarkable, daily mundane (doing laundry, scrolling through Instagram,) to the emotional extremes (cancer, death, loss.) I am a self-taught artist and use watercolor and gouache to layer raw strokes, texture and movement. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and am currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
